This is the first ripe strawberry to come out of my garden this year. Pretty soon I plan to have dozens. I planted a shitload of strawberries this year. It is only a matter of time before my army of succulent strawberries are ready to take over the world. Or…. get turned into jam and pies. Whichever.

Herbs Freshly Picked from the Garden
The garden is coming along rather nicely; even during this drought that we’re currently experiencing in northern Indiana. I’ve had to resort to watering in the evenings due to the severe lack of rain. My herbs have been doing exceptionally well. The basil, oregano, and thyme are doing great. However, my spinach is not doing so hot. Despite the watering it just doesn’t seem to like this dry weather. Boooooo. I’m hoping that we’ll be getting some rain soon because I have been wanting to have a few bonfires and this burn ban is really bumming me out.
Chicken and Zuchinni
Tonight I created this chicken & zucchini dish using heirloom tomatoes and herbs from my garden. I’ve already eaten it but now that I look at this picture, I wish I still had some left. It was delicious. Anyway, cooking is awesome and I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of it.
