I am in a record club that meets once a month to listen to tunes. It’s called the Junior Bacon Perfect Sides Vinyl Club. We eat bacon and listen to records. It’s one of the cooler things I do. I’d invite you to join but it’s sort of exclusive. Don’t worry though, you can enjoy the club vicariously through the photographs that I post to my website. 🙂
This week we made peanut butter, bacon, and bacon fried banana sandwiches.
I decided that I needed some more storage space in the studio so I went out to the garage and fabricated myself a new shelf for some of my stereo components. It’s nothing fancy but it’s suuuuuper functional and that’s really all I care about. Anyway, here’s what it looks like when it’s all loaded up and stuff…
Yesterday I smoked a chicken. Today I smoked a pork loin. The pork loin ended up being far more delicious than the chicken but I believe that is due to the fact that it’s easier to smoke a pork loin. Chickens are hollow and have extremities of various sizes that cook at different times. A pork loin is just a solid piece of meat. It’s easier to control. So yeah, my neighborhood has smelled like smoldering oak and seared flesh for the past couple of days but so far no one has been complaining. haha
I just received two new UM17 microphones from Blackspade Acoustics. This particular model touts 11 polar patterns and sounds pretty damn amazing considering how cheap they are ($1250 each). I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase and am expecting great things from this company in the future.
I went record shopping today and managed to acquire a handful of new stickers. Now I just need to figure out where to put them.
I found this in the local section at Landlocked Music in Bloomington, IN. I couldn’t pass it up.
