Fox News Magazine

This morning I woke up to an email from Fox News requesting permission to use my Dorito Dust blog entry for their Fox News Magazine publication! Booyah! Just when I think that it’s become old-hat, it gets picked up by another organization. I never would have guessed that when I created the image that it would go on to be viewed by millions of people. I guess it’s a testament to the hardcore Doritos followers out there. They make some damn good chips.

Anyway, here’s a link directly to the article if it’s no longer on the front page when you visit. http://magazine.foxnews.com/food-wellness/5-dorito-centric-recipes-fill-cool-ranch-locos-tacos-void

Dorito Dust on Fox News Magazine

My dorito-dust creation has resurfaced on the internet yet again! This time it has been picked up by Fox News Magazine! Apparently the Cool Ranch Locos Taco shortage has led to renewed interest into Cool Ranch Doritos and their culinary applications. Be sure to check out their article by clicking on the link below.

Cat Ball

I bought a fitness ball today so I can do awkward looking exercises to strengthen my core. You know, because I care about fitness. Anyway, once I inflated the ball with the horrible handjob action pump that was included… my cat was memorized by it. He couldn’t figure out what it was there for. He just kept staring at it trying to figure out whether it was a friend or a foe. His sister immediately decided that its intentions were pure evil and fled the room. She hates it.  Cats hate fitness. It goes against their napping philosophy.

Damask Cafe

My wife and I decided to try out the new Mediterranean restaurant in town. It’s called the Damask Cafe. She ordered some shrimp dish and I opted for lamb kebabs. We arrived around 6:30PM and the place was poppin’. We were told that there would be a 30-minute wait but we were seated in 15. The staff was friendly and as quick as they could be while managing a full house. We enjoyed everything that was brought to our table.

This is a great addition to the local restaurant scene in Muncie and will bring some much needed variety to the food-loving community.

Classic NES

Today I added the Wii to the game room so that my wife, Lauren, could get her old-school video game on. She’s not much of a gamer but she has a video-game-boner for NES games. As soon as I hooked it up she started playing Super Mario 3. In other news, I need to come up with a better name for this “game room” because the current name just isn’t cutting it. It’s got a sort of rustic cabin feel to it so I’ll have to incorporate that into the name somehow. I’m sure something will come to me at some point.
